NORCAL Ocean Racing Council Recommendations - Comments Needed!
Dear Moore 24 Association Members and Associates,
The Northern California Ocean Racing Council Safety Committee has posted draft recommendations for safety equipment and training for offshore races minimum equipment requirements for offshore races.

The regulations, when adopted, will have an affect on our Class and future racing. They are intended to take affect for all ocean races within the Gulf of the Farallones starting in 2013. The organization recognizes that most Moore 24s do not have lifelines and there is consensus within the group that there should be some sort of waiver, although the language has not been agreed upon.
Please review and send me your comments as I would like to respond as an Association. As always, recommendations for positive change are appreciated.
Sincerely,
Scott Sorensen

There is a to rail requirement that we would also need a waiver for unless the original aluminum rail is on the boat.
Thx,
Pete
